  •   Aileen, Vincent and Merle was such lovely hosts. Friendly and welcoming. Went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Her place was sparkling clean and we felt right at home. Will definitely recommend their place to just get away for the noisy city.

  •   Nice get away from the hustle and bustle and a big plus was that it is pet friendly. Peaceful and tranquility in abundance. Highly recommended.

  •   What a superb cottage. I booked with SilverTree for a me-time getaway weekend, and that is exactly what I got. The cottage is lovely with everything you need and even more. The bath is luxurious & the Netflix was a very nice extra I did not expect. Aileen, Vincent & Merle are lovely hosts and their dogs are adorable and very well behaved. I would definitely recommend Silver Oaks to anyone that is looking for a place to stay in the Winelands.

  •   Was a pleasant stay, hosts where helpful and communicative.

Location was peaceful and away from the busy town, which I liked but close enough to pop down to, when needed, and the room had everything needed to make the stay comfortable.

    Would recommend

Klein Waterkloof has three double rooms: a honeymoon suite (Silvertree), separate from the others, Bushwillow and Waterberry which are adjacent to each other. Each room has its own en-suite bathroom to make your stay more comfortable. The neighbourhood is a quiet farm-style one.

We use Airbnb to manage our bookings. If you are not comfortable using AirBnB please contact us for an estimate/invoice. We do not accept cards but are happy with EFT and would require a 50% deposit to confirm your booking.

Silvertree room is attached to the main house but has its own entrance and is completely separate and private.

Bushwillow is next to Waterberry and they share a stoep with beutiful views. The room is a soft green with brass wall sconces.

Waterberry is next to Bushwillow and they share a stoep. The room is light blue themed with antique wall plates.

All three rooms can function as twin (two separate single beds) or double rooms (one king-sized bed).

Each en-suite bathroom has:

  • a spacious shower
  • gorgeous claw-foot bathtub
  • vintage washstand

Each room also has a mini kitchenette with a microwave, kettle and bar fridge.

Bushwillow and Waterberry are geared for self-catering stays and each features a mini oven and 2 plate stove with some basic cookware.

Complimentary plunger coffee, rooibos and Ceylon tea and hot chocolate are standard in all our rooms. Being tea lovers, we have a large assortment of herbal teas which we are happy to share on request.

There is no DSTV (apologies to the sports fans) but each room has a media player with Netflix loaded and free WiFi is a standard feature.

There are pets on the property (dogs, cats and horses – please view our pets’ page to learn more about them) but the guest area is fenced off. The fence which divides the front of the property from the back and the guests area from the back garden is only 1.2m high and our dogs and cats have access to the back garden, so please factor this into your planning.

Our pets are a very important part of our home and we want guests to enjoy interacting with them as much as we do.

Some important points:

  • Please do not feed any of our pets without asking permission. We do not want to encourage them to bother guests.
  • Please close gates behind you. Some areas are off limits to the horses because they eat EVERYTHING!
  • Please do not greet the dogs until they are sitting and quiet. They need to practice their manners and this ensures that they do not become a nuisance to other guests by learning to jump up.
  • Please do not hesitate to tell us if any of our pets are bothering you. We know not everybody likes or is comfortable with animals and we also know that sometimes you just need a break from their furry attentions.

We recommend that cats be kept inside the rooms. Although the guesthouse is pet-friendly we ask that you respect the space and not allow your pets to damage anything.  Please bring their own beds and blankets. A litter box and flushable cat litter can be provided on request. We do not ask for a pet damages deposit, however, any damages will be for your account.
